Fellow Flying Scot sailors, the FSSA is in dire need of improvement and you can help. Two major areas of focus need your participation:

1. Membership and Membership Services:
Today the FSSA needs you and your fellow Scot sailors to actively participate in our grand class by signing up as a card carrying dues paid member. This gives you a voice in the FSSA and the opportunity to make improvements. Recently our FSSA President appealed for help and made mention of the associations dire financial situation. One area of opportunity to lower FSSA cost and greatly increase services to all of us is Membership Services. DO YOU KNOW OF A MEMBERSHIP SERVICES OFFERING??? Please share if you do! Membership Services is a company, which may be as an online offering, that would manage our membership list, provides billing, registration, and renewals. Do you use a membership services today with your sailing club, school organization, country club, home owners association? If the experience is good, please do share what you know. Name of membership services company or website? Any cost information?

2. Communication (Scots-N-Water and Web)
We need to do better here, PLEASE! All Scot sailors from across the country, day sailors, racers, cruisers. We all need to be sharing our experiences and photos in a more effective, timely, and more appealing way. What have YOU seen that is better? Examples: Did you take friends out on your Scot that have never sailed on a Scot before? ...snap a picture on your camera or phone, write a one paragraph story of how your friends liked the sail, where did you go? Or, what if you and some friends chartered a sailboat in the Caribbean? Where did you go? Were you all Scot sailors? Was it fun? Any challanges? Did you take pictures? ....please share.

There is more to be a member of FSSA than the boat itself. It's an extended family of people that share many common interests. Let's be better family members by sharing more information in a more timely basis. The current Scots-N-Water publisher often requires a 4 month lead time or greater at a rather significant cost. Do you belong to another organization that uses a publisher for a periodical like Scots-N-Water? Please share what you know about them!

We can make things better with FSSA and improve all that we do as a much more strong and vibrant class.

Pitch in and help starting today! Share your thoughts. Volunteer information, pictures, article, and skills.

Thank you and fair sailing!
